This is a remote role that will travel up to 50% of the time for industry tradeshows nation-wide. We anticipate that the majority of travel will typically occur in the Spring/Summer, but some travel will be required year-round. We are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorization for this role.

Your impact:

The National Sales Director is responsible for business development and the retention and growth of top Food and Supply Source accounts. This role will strategically target and close new business, maintain relationships with clients, increase program participation rates, maintain current book of business, and identify new opportunities for expanding current volume. Target prospects include childcare and daycare centers, Head Start and Early Start programs, treatment facilities, senior living facilities, shelters, food banks, and other social and human services organizations and non-profits.

  • Design, close and manage new strategic business opportunities through market analysis, monitoring competitive activities, and identifying client needs.
  • Identify and engage new prospects, handle lead generation and conversion.
  • Attend and represent the team at in-person industry trade shows and marketing events.
  • Assist in shaping and developing brand and GTM strategy and organization.
  • Maintain understanding of all BEP brands and work collaboratively with internal teams to develop and execute cross sell/education strategies and initiatives.
  • Address client concerns and proactively resolve issues to maintain high levels of retention and loyalty. Create recommendations and facilitate action for resolution with the appropriate brands.
  • Remove barriers to selling and harness the power and support the growing team.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow customer relationships where appropriate to land new business and secure new channel partners.
  • Work with BEP Marketing team to enhance and grow the Food and Supply Source brand.
  • Negotiate/prepare terms and sales agreements.
  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to grow business.
  • Help foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Follow the latest industry development and stay up-to-date on competitors.
  • Keep all potential and current client and lead information current in Salesforce.
  • Work on strategic projects for top as needed.

About you:

  • 5 years of experience selling into the Human Services and non-profit space or similar.
  • Experience in, and a deep understanding of, the foodservice industry and/or foodservice distribution.
  • Experience negotiating terms and preparing sales agreements.
  • Experience in building and nurturing industry relationships.
  • Have strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Efficient, detail oriented, and well organized.
  • Flexible and thrive in fast-paced work environments.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license with ability to rent a car.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Salesforce
    • Microsoft Business Tools – i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams
